Thank you very much for the care package. It means a great deal to us to receive gifts from total strangers, but we all are Americans and that is why our country is so great.
This is my second tour to Afghanistan. My name is Tim and I am a E-4 Specialist in Army. I am a mechanic in the HHBN motorpool on Kandahar Air Field.
This is the first time I have received a care package addressed to me specifically, my last time here our platoon lived next to the chaplain and he got tons of packages from his congregation, so he offloaded them on us, it was great. Of course, not as good as this one you sent. I really appreciate the time you took to put this together and the money spent to send it.
I want to thank you again and I hope all of your guys have a great holiday season. God Bless You and keep you safe. Sincerely,
Tim |
Greetings from Afghanistan! I'm Todd, an Illinois native serving with the 4th Infantry Division. I command the 204th Brigade Support Battalion and we recently received several packages that had great holiday gifts for our soldiers. We have 421 soldiers serving here in Kandahar, Afghanistan and the mission keeps us busy.
We are making a difference as the threat is on the run and the local people enjoy peace these days. Thank you for your support of our soldiers.
God Bless all of you, Merry Christmas! V/R LTC Todd |
