Greetings!

All three letters today are from female troops. While our military is only 10% female, they tend to write the most thank you letters!

Note that the last letter mentions our "Sponsor a box" program. In case you are unfamiliar with this, we'd like to explain it. $25 is the approximate cost to ship one of our 25 lb boxes. If a person writes us a check and mentions that they'd like to sponsor a package, a small note is inserted in the box stating that the postage was paid for by that person (not the items inside, just the postage). Many families like to do this as part of their holiday giving. We cannot promise that the recipient will write back, but it's great when they do.

Thank you so much for your (very large) care package! I received it about a month ago, but have been super busy with patients that I've had a hard time finding a moment that I can email y'all :) I'm a Physician Assistant part of a Forward Surgical Team in backwoods Afghanistan. Virtually our whole team, including me, are on 24/7 trauma call. We were averaging about 6-7 trauma cases a week, at all hours of the day and night. Since the weather is getting cooler/bad, the fighting has slowed down, as well as our trauma cases. (Praise the Lord!) I also see clinic 6 days a week (I'm the only Primary Care medical provider for our entire FOB -- forward operating base).

Your package was well-received by the guys I worked with (there's no way I can eat all that candy by myself) and was next to perfect in contents. I really can't thank you enough!

Thanks for sending me the wonderful care package. The items truly lifted my spirits. I was able to share some of the goodies with my fellow soldiers and they were just as happy as I. You truly blessed us. Thanks again for thinking of the troops and sending love in the mail. May God continue to bless you and the organization. Continue to keep us in your prayers.
