Greetings!

We are very fortunate to live in America.  We get to go on vacation (when we can afford it) and we don't have to work in the hot warehouses this week!  Our troops do not have the luxury of days off when they are deployed---they must work, eat and sleep in the heat.   We are lucky that they keep reminding us that we are worthy of their sacrifices.  So please enjoy this weekend off (or enjoy your vacation) and know in your heart that a servicemember is thinking about you.  Why don't you take your free time to write them a note of thanks?

I want to say thank you for the care package it arrived in very good condition. All the items were great. I shared some of the items with my fellow soldiers and donated other items to our MWR for our soldiers that are just arriving. I would love to write to some of these children that sent letters in my package. Is there any way to get the address of one of the schools that participated in your program? Again, words cannot express the feeling I received when I opened the care package and read the letters and saw all the good stuff enclosed. I will be here until June of 2012 so I have a long stretch ahead of me but this will definitely make my stay better. From not only me but my unit and my family, thank you for all you do for us back at home.

Thank you again for all you and your organization do for the troops serving overseas. You truly could not understand the joy that comes from getting a care package and reading letters from children. We have many soldiers that don't have families or families don't have the financial means to send these types of packages. At least for my unit I know we always share the packages with everyone. So that no one is left behind.

I can't say it enough thank you so much and hope to hear back from you.

Have a great Army day. HOOAHH!!! I have attached a photo of myself and two of the some of the soldiers I am here with. I will continue to keep in touch.

Hello,

This is my 3rd deployment to the middle east.  The hardest part of being deployed is being away from your family and friends. But, there are people like you all that make the sacrifice worth it.  You all show that the American spirit is still alive and strong as ever.  So from the bottom of my heart and on behalf of my entire platoon---thank you for all that you do!
