Operation Support Our Troops - America
Letter of the Week: July 25, 2011
Quick Links

Greetings!

As our hot weather is persisting, so are the conditions that our troops must endure.  Our packages are not only vital to their mission, they are an important boost to their morale.  It really encourages them to know that Americans do care and are appreciative of their service.   We can always use more cards/letters of support.  If you have a family gathering, put out some blank cards and encourage your guests to write a note to the troops.

I have received several of your awesome boxes through multiple deployments but due to the operational tempo (and perhaps a little bit of laziness), I have never written to say how much I appreciate everything you guys do.

So I just wanted to say thank you. I have attached a picture of some of my Soldiers with our Afghanistan Local Nationals. As the Base Operations section, much of our success relies on our partners within the local community.

If you see Gary Sinise again please tell him thank you for his support as well, however please inform him that as an officer with a first name Dan, I didn't appreciate having the nickname lieutenant Dan for three years.

Take care and thanks again,

CPT Daniel

I recently received a package form your organization. I cannot tell you how much it helped my morale. I am currently in a remote area of Afghanistan and have not received anything from home in the last 3 months. The items in this package were so greatly needed by myself and my fellow soldiers. We will enjoy every item in this package. It is nice to get anything from home, and even better when the package is this full of fun and needed items. Thanks a Bunch to your entire team!!!!
