Greetings!

We hope that you were able to attend ROCKIN for the Troops on Sat---if not, you missed a really good time.  My favorite part was seeing all those men and women in uniform and being able to shake their hands and thank them for their service to our nation.   So many of them replied that they had received our boxes while they were deployed and they doubted we realized how very much they were appreciated.  Of course we do because we read these letters.  The Points of Light ceremony was awesome.  Our troops watching the live stream surely were touched that so many Americans stand behind them.   The light of the American people will always stand for freedom and overcome the darkness of terror!

We won't be packing this weekend, enjoy your weekend off, we'll see you again on July 30th, when we'll send some more smiles to our troops.

I was given this address by a member who coordinated for my PLT and I to be taken care of by OSOT America. I wanted to write quickly and say thanks for your time, effort and kindness. Getting packages from you guys is a huge morale boost and the guys love all of the great stuff you always send. Being in an austere environment in Afghanistan, the Soldiers don't get to enjoy the comforts of home very often, and I wanted you to know that the food, magazines, hygeine products and letters of encouragement are hugely appreciated. God Bless.

Many Thanks,

A member shared this letter with us, written to her children (Josh is their brother who is currently serving):

Last week I received a huge box of goodies. I believe it came from the same organization you guys volunteer at. What a great surprise to get a package like that in Iraq! Lots of goodies, lots of necessities and some fun. I'm sure Josh has told you how lonely it can feel when he's away from home, and I'm no different. These care packages fill part of the void that a person feels at times like this. Some of the stuff I devoured right away, some I will use over time and some stuff I shared with other airmen. Thanks and keep up the good work.
