Greetings!
It's so inspiring to us to read the thank you letters from our troops. It's even more gratifying to read that they are going to pass along other names to us, so that those troops can also share in the blessing provided by a simple 25 lb box. It takes many hands to put together that 25 lb package--from the volunteers who collect, deliver, sort, bag, transport, pack, tape, and post the boxes, to the postal crew who gets them out the door. Thank you to ALL of our members for helping to make that happen, it means so much to our troops. Operation Support Our Troops America

This sailor had asked us for crayons and toys for the children. While we don't actively solicit these items, we do get them from time to time, so we packed a special box for her.

This is LTJG Sarah PA-C, USN...stationed at Camp Anaconda, Afghanistan and I just received your box of goodies. Great combination of crayons and plain paper writing tablets. The kids will love this...I will be leaving country in about 7 weeks, but I will e-mail you before I leave with my replacements name. Personally I sure would like to say Thank you!! b/c of you this whole deployment has been so improved...your support means so much and you can bet when I give out the items that you have sent I always make the interpreter tell them that all these gifts are from Americans who care about your well being. So please do not think that your gifts are not handled properly, b/c I am doing my best to make sure that your hard work and generosity is made known to the local population. I have attached a few more pictures. Again, Thank you so much and May God Richly Bless each and everyone of you.
Your Friend,
Sarah

I was very surprised, pleasantly of course, to find a box for me from your organization during our Mail Call today. I was flabbergasted when I opened the box to find it Jam packed with all the snacks (my favorites were the Kashi bars, and the My Oh Mega cookies). There was so much stuff that I was able to take a little bit for myself and share with every Marine in my section, everyone got some, it was awesome. The few people having bad days are having better days now, one Marine said " My day just got 10 times better," as he munched on so Reese's Cups that came in the package.
Your Care Packages do so much good out here, lift the spirit, calm the snack craving, and generally brings smiles out and Morale up. Thank you so much, I know some Marines who may not get a lot of mail that I am going to sign up right after I finish this e-mail. Again Thank You so very much for your kindness and support.
Well I hope this address I found on the postcard inside my box gets this e-mail where it needs to go. Time to go enjoy some snacks, thanks again. SEMPER FI
