President of Tompkins County Area Development, Michael Stamm, cordially invites you to join him in welcoming Commissioner Fiala who will deliver an Executive Budget presentation on behalf of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo this Friday at the Holiday Inn Downtown Ithaca. Governor Cuomo recently outlined his 2012 Executive Budget and initiatives, including increased funding for infrastructure projects, expanded casino gaming in New York, reform of the state's public pension system and mandate relief. Join us as we learn more about these initiatives and the Governor's proposed budget.

TCAD President Moderates
NYS Economic Development Council Panel In Albany
Tompkins County Area Development (TCAD) President Michael Stamm is in Albany this week to moderate a panel discussion at the annual January conference of the New York State Economic Development Council. The panel includes key officials from the State's Authority Budget Office, Empire State Development, and Office of the State Comptroller. Issues to be discussed include oversight of Industrial Development Agencies and how IDA PILOTs impact the 2% tax cap. The New York State Economic Development Council is the State's principal organization representing economic development professionals. Its 900 members includes leadership from IDAs, local development corporations, investment banks, attorneys, underwriters,contractors and utilities.
