barriersAddressing Barriers to Finding Employees -

Employers from Wood County to Vilas County repeatedly have talked to me about two barriers to finding qualified employees.

The barrier mentioned most often by employers is the significant disconnect between the skills of those out of work compared to what skills are needed for available employment. The second barrier employers mention is the soft skills of employees.

What is NCWWDB doing to make the necessary changes in the workforce to address these two barriers?

Go HERE to read Trimble's column, "Addressing Barriers to Finding Employees".  For more information about NCWWDB's Employer Services, call Bruce Trimble at 715-422-4706 or email him at:  btrimble@ncwwdb.org.  Back to top
