Serena Adler greets Youth Open House AttendeesopenhouseMarathon County Job Center Hosts Youth Open House - On June 15, 2011, a variety of programs and resource providers hosted a Youth Open House at the Marathon County Job Center in Wausau.  All area youth, between the ages of 14 -21, interested in a job or additional assistance, were invited to attend. The goal of the Open House was to bring awareness to young people that Job Centers are not just for adults; they provide services to youth as well. Job Center informational packets were distributed at the door and on-site service provider representatives were available to answer questions, hand out resource materials, and provide job search assistance by helping to register youth on the Job Center of Wisconsin website.  The event was attended by 50 - 60 youth. A similar open house was held at the Northern Advantage Job Center in Rhinelander.  See event photos HERE.
