Greetings!
It's time for one of Minnesota's favorite past times - football. And this season the Northstar Commuter Rail Line will provide Minnesota Vikings fans with an easy alternative to get to the game by providing train service to all eight regular season home games.

The Fast Track on Game Day
Hop on the Northstar Line for an easy, convenient ride to Vikings games. More than 2,700 free park & ride spaces are available at the Northstar stations from Big Lake to Fridley. Once fans arrive at Target Field Station, they will transfer for free to the Hiawatha Line for a quick ride to the Metrodome. Visit
MetroTransit.org/Vikings for full schedule and transportation information.

In addition, the Northstar Link Commuter Bus between St. Cloud, Becker and Big Lake will provide its regular weekend service, which means it will be available for many Vikings games. Northstar Link tickets are separate from Northstar Commuter Rail tickets. For ticket and schedule information, visit CatchTheLink.com or call 877-546-5010.

Save a Bundle
Weekend fares are the lowest offered on Northstar. But families riding the Northstar Line can save even more. Pay one low price for a roundtrip
Northstar Family Pass. It's the best value for your whole family - two adults and up to three kids ages 6-17, with kids five and under riding for free.

Safety is Our Top Priority
With the start of football season, back-to-school and work schedules, many passengers will be riding the Northstar Line. It's important for all Northstar riders to practice safety in order to keep Northstar Commuter Rail a safe and great way to travel. Please review
Northstar safety tips such as:
  • Watch and listen for trains. Not all communities allow trains to use horns or whistles to notify you that a train is approaching.
  • Always obey warning signs and sounds. Cell phones and headphones can block out these warnings - avoid using them on train platforms or near tracks.
  • Cross the tracks only at clearly marked and designated crossings.
  • Slow down and be alert near rail stations. Watch for trains, pedestrians, bicyclists, buses and cars, and provide close supervision for children.
Remember Northstar Commuter Rail shares the tracks with freight trains traveling up to 80 mph. Trains can come on any track, at any time from either direction. Please be safe, alert and use common sense when riding the Northstar Line.

Lastly, invite your friends and family to sign up for Northstar updates about schedule changes and future expansion. Enjoy your travels in the Northstar Corridor this fall.

Sincerely,
