Dear Fellow Member,

We are having a pretty perfect summer. The water classes are almost completely full and the trials are filling. Please remember all members are WELCOME to the Water Trials to just come and watch the dogs. There is an early evening BBQ (about 5pm) on Saturday night August 25th to which you are welcome, more info is on the website, www.nutmegpwd.org.  Please remember to keep your dogs cool and safe and above all, have fun!

Nutmeg's AKC All Breed Agility Trial

On Sunday May 13, 2012 at FDR State Park, Yorktown Heights, NY, Nutmeg held its annual all-breed agility trial, in conjunction with Port Chester Obedience Training Club which sponsors the trial on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The judges for the weekend were Clyde Closson from Schnecksville, PA and Jacqueline O'Neill fromBloomsburg, PA who created some excellent courses.

There were 24 Portuguese Water Dogs entered on Sunday. The competition was very close for the High In Trial PWD, which was won by Nancy Wentworth and Perry Mason. Here is a picture of them with the lovely blanket that was offered in Claudia Mohr's honor. 

Nancy is wearing the volunteer t-shirt that was designed by Nutmeg member, Kimberly Nickerson. We love the back as much as the front.

Thank you to all who volunteered that day. We could not have run such a successful event without you!

Once again Mother Nature did not send out the sun for a Nutmeg event but by now we are old hands at coping with not so perfect conditions.
