EU Advance Cargo Declaration Regulation
Please note that European Customs authorities will be introducing new regulations regarding advanced manifesting that will be effective on January 1st, 2011. The regulation affects all export cargo to the European Union and any cargo that transships or transits through an EU port. This also includes Freight Remaining On Board (FROB) a vessel.
The underlying carriers will be required to submit the Entry Summary Declaration (ENS) 24 hours prior to the vessel loading at the Port of Export. As a result, they will be advancing their cut-offs accordingly, and Triton will be required to advance cut-offs in kind in order to comply. Full documentation will be required at this time; otherwise the underlying carrier will not load the cargo.
In addition to this, the following information will be required on all bills of lading to or transiting through the EU.
