Ice Cream For Supper
The 2009 Awards program, Ice Cream For Supper will be held on Monday, April 5th, 2010 at 6:00 pm at the School Administration Building. Please join us for FREE ice cream sundaes! We also have some new awards and we need your help with one. Do you have the "most awesome" leader? If you do, please fill out this form and nominate your leader! If you have a recordbook that was turned in for judging, you may pick it up that night.
2009/2010 Clay County 4-H Photos
We have recently set up a Shutterfly site for photos of all Clay County Extension activities. Please visit this site to view and download pictures. This is a secure site where we have appoval of who can view this sight.
Statewide Opportunities for 4-Hers
The 2010 Iowa Agricultural Youth Institute (IAYI) will be held June 14-16 on the Iowa State University campus. This conference is for Iowa sophomore, junior and senior high school students who are interested in agriculture. Click Here for more information.
The Iowa 4-H Center has announced it's 2010 camp schedule. There will be EIGHT new camps this year. Discounts are available for 4-H members, siblings and early registration. For a detailed list of camps and registrations, please visit the Iowa 4-H Camp website.
Do you have a passion for photography? Consider becoming part of the 4-H Camera Corps Project for 2010. The theme this year is Iowa Prairies and 4-H photography project members of all ages are encouraged to participate. For more information check out this website.
Are you a high school junior who has a community service project they are interested in starting? If so, consider applying for the Herbert Hoover Uncommon Student Award. Each student who's project is chosen recieves a $1000 stipend and chance to win a $5000 scholarship. The deadline for poject proposals is March 31, 2010.
Livestock Updates
Swine project members interested in exhibiting at the Iowa State Fair must fill out your Intent to Participate. The form and more information is located on the State 4-H Swinewebpage.

Visit the following link to sign up for 4-H livestock species mailing list. Subscribers will get periodic emails about important infromation regarding livestock directly from the State 4-H Offce.
Clover Challenge

April is The Month of the Military Child
Some money has been donated to Operation: Military Kids, so if a club or group of 4-Hers has a great idea that needs funding, send me a brief proposal with a budget. In addition - OMK is going to give a $100 award for the best MOMC program organized by an individual 4-H member, 4-H club, or county council.
This is a great opportunity to help youth in our community that may have parents being deployed.
