Technology continues to leap forward in ways that touch all aspects of our life. Now in the swimming pool industry, there are tools that allow you to control your pool/spa and outdoor living via the touch of your iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, PC and soon your Android Smartphone. Until now, we have installed pool and spa controllers with a wired system that is wall-mounted. This has been the method; however, now everyone wants to control their pool/spa with the device they carry in their pocket. My concern is being careful not to drop your phone in the water because you will then have a phone and pool and spa that you cannot control.

Speaking of new technology, I have been working with a young man, Nate Trimmer, to develop an additional business named Omnibeat. Omnibeat is Social Media Marketing for businesses. This creates innovation and helps businesses to tell their story online. This began when Nate collaborated with Sunset to get Sunset's online presence up to speed. You may notice the Sunset website, www.GoSunset.net, is looking really good. Our Facebook, LinkedIn, Yelp, Google Places and more needed to be updated with proper information. We are seeing the benefits and we decided to start Omnibeat to share this experience with other businesses.
