Sunset's Outdoor Living
The kids are back to school and the pool is too cold to go swimming so it is a good time to start that pool remodel project so that things are back in shape for the coming 2012 swim season. As you can imagine, many pools in this area that were built in the earlier days are simply beat up. Not to mention the decking, the equipment and the plumbing all get to a point of being shot. We specialize in pool remodeling where the worst part of the job, digging the hole, is already done. You can add a spa, elevate the pool, place new decking, new plumbing, and add whatever outdoor living features that you might want. We are always eager for this time of year to get started on pool remodel projects. I am more than glad to come out, give your project an assessment and put together an itemized proposal.

Pool Remodeling: The New Wave

Real estate professionals know that a swimming pool can be an asset or a liability depending on its age, condition, and the looks of the area surrounding the pool. In the greater Long Beach area, thousands of pools were built in the late 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. Most of these pools are no longer in tip-top condition and their surrounding areas show signs of wear and tear. These pools are not a loss, and they do not need to be a liability. They can be reconditioned to modern standards and become an asset to the property.

Remodel 2 At Sunset Designers and Builders we are experts at turning a pool from a liability to an asset no matter what the condition of the pool or the surrounding yard. In fact, we consider pool remodeling to be one of our primary areas of expertise. When we're finished, the pool and its surrounding area look spectacular instead of "not so hot." These changes improve beauty, safety, usefulness, and property values.

Under normal circumstances, we retain the structured pool shell, and this saves a great deal of expense. We take out all the existing equipment and replace the surrounding coping and landscaping to bring the entire backyard up to today's standards.

Remodel 1 One of the major problems in old swimming pools are the blue stains that cannot be removed. These are caused by the old copper piping. We take out this copper piping and replace it with PVC piping which will last for the life of the pool and will never cause staining. We install a new state of the art equipment system, replace the waterline tile, and new coping that has a more modern appearance. This is followed by new decking with proper drainage using a PVC pipe drain system to ensure excess water will be drained off the property properly without damage to landscape or impacting the neighbors.

What else can a remodeled pool area have? A spa, man-made rocks, waterfalls, built in bar-b-ques and planters are some of the features of new pools. We can even elevate the pool to make it spectacular. Visit our Elevated Pools Gallery for a look at the beauty.

For increased safety, enhanced beauty, and the future sale value of your home, why not consider remodeling your pool? It is a sure way to add value to your property and reduce the chance for your pool to become a liability when you decide to sell it.
Sincerely,

JZ Hawaiian
