Meet Jon Garrou
Camp for All Kids is proud to introduce Jon Garrou, our new Chief Advancement Officer.
Originally from Peoria, Illinois, Jon Garrou comes to us from Denver where he was the Global Program Director for SOS Outreach. Jon led SOS Outreach, an outdoor youth development non-profit working with under-served youth, during a five year period of unprecedented growth. He is excited to bring his experience working with donors, board members and schools to Camp for All Kids.
Prior to his work with SOS Outreach, Jon rose through the ranks at Easter Seals Colorado's Rocky Mountain Village where he was a Counselor, Marketing Director, Program Director and Interim Camp Director. He loves camp!
Jon is married to Keeley and they have a chocolate lab named Wrigley. He enjoys cycling and cycle touring, snowboarding, playing basketball and just about anything outside. He is very excited to join the Camp for All Kids team and can't wait to discover similarities and celebrate differences with us.

Why This Matters Anyway
Dr. Paul J. Adams III, president and founder of Providence St. Mel, our partner school in Chicago, spoke at the Around the Campfire event and told us about his students and how Camp for All Kids has saved lives. Dr. Adams is shown here with Kamaji director and Camp for All Kids founder, Mike Jay. Read more»

The Sun Came Out and Dried Up All the Rain!

A special thanks to everyone who made Around the Campfire a great success. Hundreds of campers, alumni and friends participated in or donated to the event last month. We raised thousands of dollars (it's still coming in!) and had a great day with fun raffle prizes for campers, a little dodge ball and bbq, and inspiring stories for everyone. Funds raised from the event go directly to camperships to send kids to our five partner camps.
