Riverside Cemetery Gatehouse
Help us inaugurate the important first piece of the Trail on the western side of the river as it stretches north toward Amerson River Park (formerly Amerson Water Works Park)!
The construction zone has been staked by the survey crew and the contractor is only waiting for this event to be celebrated before he begins work.
Please mark your calendar and join representatives of Riverside Cemetery, NewTown Macon, the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail, the Georgia Department of Transportation and Bibb County Commission Chairman Sam Hart for a news conference to break ground on the Trail's newest section Thursday, October 11, at 10 am at the cemetery's historic Gatehouse located at 1301 Riverside Drive (corner of Riverside Drive and Madison Street).
