There's a lot of excitement in the air here at the Busselton beachfront.
It's a case of "Out with the old and in with the new".
Our historic, 140-year-old Busselton Jetty is entering the final stages of a $27.1 million restoration project.
Apart from the first 50m, the Jetty has been closed to the public for the past year.
So too the jetty's incredible Underwater Observatory - described as Australia's greatest artificial reef.
It's created a bit of disappointment among our guests visiting Busselton for the first time.
Everyone here at Abbey has been keeping an ear to the ground for news of an expected open date.
With inclement weather hampering construction a bit recently, there's still high hopes the jetty will open again in time for summer.
I'll let you know as soon as I hear anything.
But the jetty is not the only one benefiting from a spruce up lately...
A soft refurbishment of all rooms at Abbey Beach Resort is now complete too.
We're pretty proud of the fresh, modern results and hope you enjoy these pictures:

In case you would like to be among the first to see the new decor, furniture and linen I've created yet another special VIP-ONLY deal for this month.
I look forward to keeping you in the loop on the big Jetty re-open.
