Fireworks photo Christmas Time and New Year's--  Entertain, Shop, Celebrate

Tibbits has three things to help you make this holiday season a  memorable one for you and your loved ones.
Saline Fiddlers soloFirst the Saline Fiddlers bring their high energy music, dance and song to Coldwater on Friday, December 18. The troupe of 30 musicians has entertained across the country with a contagious mix of folk, bluegrass, western and swing, seasoned with a dash of Celtic flair. Treat yourself and someone you love to an evening full of entertainment--and a welcome break from your Christmas preparations. For more information go to Entertainment.

Next you can also simplify your shopping and surprise someone with a gift of theatre. Tibbits gift certificates are available in any denomination and are perfect for even the hard-to-buy-for person on your list.

Finally, celebrate the new year--Tibbits style! Join
us for the first ever New Year's Eve Ball at the opera house. Don your party attire, and enjoy the Dueling Pianos, dancing, lavish hors d'ouevres, cash bar and casino-style games. Tickets are $50 for the evening and available at Tibbits offices or by clicking Buy Now.
Tibbits Young Audiences
Kids and theatre are always a winning combination and Tibbits works hard to provide many opportunities to expose kids of all ages to the wonders of live performance.

It's a joyous thing to witness a child's first time at Popcorn Theatre or to watch the children for whom it's tradition to see the summer shows with their parents, cousins or grandparents. Many kids enjoy the chance to see exciting artists with their classmates as Tibbits brings performances to the schools. A variety of other performances presented throughout the year allow them to experience spectacular costumes, inspiring music or exciting dance.

One of the most fulfilling experiences for many students is the chance to perform themselves in a Tibbits Young Audiences show. Featuring a cast of between 40 and 60 students, these shows give a chance to be on stage and learn first hand all that goes into a performance. Students learn blocking and memorize lines, they create a character and develop the costume and props, and they learn the teamwork required for a successful show.

While all that is going on, they are also learning about practice and commitment, building their confidence and self esteem, skills which are essential to success in school and in life. For most adults their greatest fear is public speaking; these students are performing in front of an audience of nearly 400 and learning to enjoy it. They are overcoming a fear, before they know it should be a fear.

Auditions for the next show, "Do Wap Wed Widing Hood," will be in early January. The performances will be March 19, 20, 2010. For more information and audition dates go to
