The Blanks...Ted's Band
BlanksScrubs fans everywhere already know and love "Ted's Band." Come see the fun for yourself as the group appears at Tibbits under their official name "The Blanks" Saturday, September 19.

This quartet of friends likes to sing a cappella music, which ironically, is exactly the role they play on the ABC hit television series.  Now you can see them live - singing their TV and movie themes such as "Charles in Charge" and the "Superman March."  They also do songs with talking toys - that's right, four grown men who still play with dolls, or maybe we should say, action figures.

Their unique blend of humor and a cappella music has proven to be a crowd pleaser and fun for the whole family.

Help the Memories continue
Tibbits has been creating memories since 1882.  You can be a part of helping them continue by becoming a member of the Tibbits Opera Foundations & Arts Council.
There are many expenses connected with operating a 127-year old theatre. Ticket revenues are used to cover the cost of presenting quality entertainment but are not sufficient to meet the day-to-day needs of this historic theatre. We look to the generosity of our members to fill that void.  Membership is the foundation of all we do.

We offer a wide range of membership opportunities and graduated benefits for an annual donation  of $35 to $1,000 and up.  Our membership year begins October 1 but you will receive benefits, such as special pricing on selected Tibbits events, immediately if you join now. (Save on The Blanks!) For more information or to donate now: Membership
Dance, Dance, Dance

Dancing 09
Last year one of the most talked about events at Tibbits was the Booster's "Dancing with the Celebrities," a hometown version of ABC's "Dancing with the Stars."  The event returns at 8 pm, Saturday, Sept. 12 with an all new group of celebrity dancers.

Participants include Kate Bell & Rob Iwanicki, Rhonda Ives & Mike Brooks, Autumn Kleinhans & Josh Hemker, Kathy & Jim Lippert and Jacqui Lyon & Tom Garman. Returning as Master of Ceremonies is the funny Kelly Ford with Randall Hazelbaker again conducting eye-opening behind-the-scenes interviews. Other entertainment includes a tap dance revival by Preston's Pearls Revisited and a comedy skit. Last year's first place winners, Larry Parks and Barb Vainer, will return in a showcase dance. Two professional ballroom dancers from Kalamazoo will also appear.

Celebrities win with a combination of judges scores and local votes earned at $1 a vote. Votes can be cast with donations in boxes for each of the couples set up at the theatre and around town or at the performance. New this year you can even vote on line (in increments of $5).

Tickets for the show are just $5 and available at the box office through August, the administrative office, on-line, or at the door.  For more information or to buy a vote for any of the couples: Dancing  For tickets to the show: Tickets
Box Office Hours
As the summer draws to a close Tibbits Box Office will soon make its shift back to the adminstrative office. Summer hours of 10 - 5 will continue until August 31. After that, the box office at the theatre will open one hour prior to showtimes. Starting September 1 daily ticket services will move to the office at 93 West Chicago Street. Thank you for your understanding of this shift.
