Today's Parish Minister restores title to Today's Parish
Readers Support Return to Magazine's Roots
New London, Conn. (December 10, 2009) - Today's Parish Minister
magazine, published by the Bayard Magazine Group, will become Today's Parish magazine, effective with the January/February 2010 issue. The return to the publication's former title comes as the result of an extensive reader survey conducted in August 2009.
"Even before the survey launched, we wondered if the magazine was reaching volunteer leaders," said Nick Wagner, editor of Today's Parish. "Almost two-thirds of readers surveyed thought the original title would be more
meaningful to the parish volunteers. Recognizing that
progress often means returning to your roots; we are
restoring the name to Today's Parish."
Other survey responses resulted in
the change of the magazine's subtitle to "The #1 Resource for
Pastors, Ministers, and Volunteers." According to Wagner, the revised subtitle clarifies the core audience supported by the magazine's
content."
The content of the publication will stay largely the same, with features and columns on faith formation, liturgy tips, new models for ministry, and more. Acknowledging a need for more online resources, a Today's Parish blog has been launched as a companion to the print publication (http://blog.todaysparish.com).
