Shop Port Sanilac for the Holidays

Are you looking for something special for mom or dad?  Do you need a gift for your sweetheart?  Port Sanilac is the place to shop to find special gifts for everyone on your list.

For the man in your life start at Raymond Hardware.  There you will find deals on tools and toys for all your boys.  Raymond Hardware offers a full line of power and hand tools, as well as everything you need to get the house spruced up for the season.  Along with the "man toys" you can find a variety of gifts for children and women.  The ladies may enjoy one of the beautiful decorative items that Raymond Hardware offers.  Gardening items are also available for those with a green thumb.  For the little ones the Hardware has a nice selection of wooden toys, and what child doesn't love finding their very own flashlight tucked into their stocking.

Continue your shopping at This-N-That, The Gray Cottage, The Port Sanilac Company, or Gull Cottage Antiques to find that special decorative item for your house.  These four shops offer a wide variety of antiques and collectibles that will be cherished by many people on your gift list.  Ranging from furniture to paintings and china to crystal, you can find most anything at one of these charming shops.

If you're seeking hand-made charm stop in at the Harbor Light Gallery or Amber Lane Gifts and Crafts.  These two shops specialize in hand-crafted gifts including furniture, photography, jewelry, and personal care items.  Many beautiful stocking stuffers can be found in each shop.

For the Irishman in you drive just North of town to stop into Memories of Ireland.  There you will find unique gifts, imported directly from Ireland.  Jewelry, clothing, and collectibles line the shelves in this beautiful shop.  Take some time out to ask Patricia about these unusual items and their origins.

For the fisherman in your life Port Sanilac Bait and Sporting Goods makes a great stop.  Featuring everything you need for the winter fishing season, Port Sanilac Bait and Sporting Goods is open for limited hours on Thursday and Friday and all day on Saturday and Sunday.

The crafter in your family will find a bounty of supplies and ideas at Main Street Memories.  Located just across the street from the Township Hall, Main Street Memories specializes in scrapbooking materials, but also has a wide variety of gifts and collectibles.

Blueprint Project Meeting

The Blue Print Project continues with great success in Port Sanilac.

On Wednesday, November 10, Nederveld led a community meeting at the Bark Shanty Community Center.  Many people from the community participated and learned about the market research that has been done about Port Sanilac.  According to market research there is a large market available to support many new businesses!

Community members also gave input on development ideas for our downtown.  Ideas included developing the block of Main Street from M-25 down to the Harbor.  Ideas for walking paths and new businesses were explored.

Nederveld will be meeting with the Blueprint Project Steering Committee on Friday, December 10, at 12 noon.

If you would like details about the Blueprint Project please contact Erin McDaid-Kelly at 810-622-0668 or info@portsanilac.net.
