All the Good News about Port Sanilac

Greetings!
February has been a snowy month here in Port Sanilac.  We didn't get the feet of snow that the East Coast got, but we have had enough to build snowmen, go sledding, and get out the snowmobiles.

Winter is a beautiful time in Port Sanilac.  The lake reflects the tempers of the season and the ice ebbs and flows.  It is a perfect time for a walk along the beach, the scenery is ever-changing.

The scenery continues to change downtown, too.  A new call center will be opening in the building formerly home to Rumble Trucking, bringing with it up to 70 jobs.  The car wash has been sold and should re-open by summer.  The bakery is moving forward and plans to begin serving the public in May.  The Blue Water Sports Bar intends to be open by June or sooner.

All of these changes and more help to make Port Sanilac a better place to live, work, and vacation.  So take some time to visit Port Sanilac this winter and share the excitement of all we have to offer!

Uri's Waterfront Dining and Spirits has been under the management of Shelly Hassler since the spring of 2007.  Her well trained wait-staff are sure to make your dining experience pleasant.  The consistancy of the kitchen produces an excellent meal, day in and day out.  Your experience at Uri's will always be pleasant.

Support the Sanilac County Humane Society

Spring is coming and it is once again time to think about our gardens.

A great way to improve your garden while supporting the local Humane Society is through a purchase of RICH EARTH.

This mineral enhancement is widely used by knowledgeable master gardeners and garden club members.

A purchase of RICH EARTH will not only lower your summer grocery bill by increasing  your vegetable yield, but will also help to support the Sanilac County Humane Society, our local, independent, no-kill shelter.

Contact Wally at 810-622-8007 or the Shelter at 810-657-8962 for more information and pricing.
