All the Good News about Port Sanilac

Greetings!
The fall weather in Port Sanilac has been beautiful!  The colors were bright and the lake was lovely.  As we move into November the last of the leaves are falling and everyone is settling in for the winter.  Soon we will be riding our snowmobiles, building snowmen, and ice fishing!
Construction Continues
North West Corner in October
The new construction downtown is proceeding at break neck speed!  From an empty lot in June an entire building has arisen on the Northwest corner.  The brick facade adds a small town feeling to the new construction.  Rumors abound about the new tennants.  We are all awaiting some accurate information with gleeful anticipation.

Blue Water Inn in October
The Blue Water Inn has a beautiful new face, on the front and on the smaller shops on Main Street.  The building is progessing rapidly.  The buzz around town is full of excitement about when the Blue Water Sports Bar will open.  We're all excited to welcome them here.

Both buildings have open spaces for rental.  Please visit the Business Oportunities page on www.portsanilac.net for contact information for these spaces and other available spaces in town.

Halloween Fun for the Whole Family

Pre-schoolers in Halloween Costume ContestThe annual Halloween costume contest, hosted by the Port Sanilac Parks and Rec committee, was once again a great success.  This annual event kicks off trick-or-treating in Port Sanilac each year.  Participants gather at the Township Hall (next to Mary's Diner) to show off their costumes, share doughnuts and cider, and get treat bags.  Here people meet to form their trick-or-treating groups, share stories, and start the night off with celebration.

This year over 60 children participated in the contest and received treat bags.  Twelve dozen donuts and four gallons of cider were shared by the crowd.  Some of the favorite costumes included Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, complete with a live Toto; a darling jack-in-the-box, a tiny UPS delivery man, and an adult dressed as a cleaning bucket.

We look forward to next year's contest and festivities.  Special thanks go out to the Parks and Rec committee who organized this event.
