As part of our continuing program to create environments for business-to-business networking and to introduce Chamber members to LGBT non profit advocacy and support organizations in SoCal, this month we mix and mingle with Point Foundation.

Point is the country's largest scholarship and mentoring program for LGBT students of need and merit.  The organization has taken the lead in providing education for this country's next generation of LGBT leaders in our communities, and currently has 87 students enrolled across the U.S. at universities including USC, Wellesley, Berkeley, Cornell, NYU, Spelman, Harvard and others with majors as diverse as law, architecture, LGBT studies, business, medicine, education, music and entertainment.

In today's economy, and with LGBT rights in the courts, it is more important than ever to support LGBT businesses and our LGBT non profits that lend support to our community.
