LAGLCC Weekly E-Blast
|
July 13, 2009
|
Dear LAGLCC Member,
Please allow us to introduce ourselves. Our names are Carla Browning and Shannon Connolly and we have recently been elected to co-chair the Membership Committee for the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce. We each have experience with non-profits and LGBT-related organizations, as well as connections to countless businesses, universities, and individuals across Los Angeles. We are thrilled to have this opportunity as Board members to use our experience to further the goals of the LAGLCC and its members.
We would like to begin by thanking you for being a member of the LAGLCC. Your membership is important to us and it is our goal as Membership co-chairs to ensure that you are receiving all of the benefits that chamber membership has to offer. We are in the process of organizing quarterly "Chamber 101" information sessions to keep members such as yourself as involved and informed as possible about the ongoing activities, events and benefits sponsored by the chamber. When those sessions have been scheduled, we will formally invite you to join us and learn about the work we are doing.
In the meantime, we encourage you to contact us with any questions or concerns you have regarding the LAGLCC. As newly inducted Board members, we are eager to hear your suggestions and ideas, as well as your needs. Whether you are a business-owner, a student, an entrepreneur or an entertainer, it is our goal to work with you to promote your work and bring visibility and valuable financial support to the LGBT community in Los Angeles.
Thank you again for your membership and participation in the LAGLCC. The more we work together and promote our diverse and inclusive businesses, the stronger we become socially and politically. Together we will make the LGBT community in Los Angeles the most influential and recognizable force for change and equality in the nation. We look forward to working with you.
Sincerely,
Shannon Connolly Carla Browning |
