RCI FirstPathway Hosts Coryo
Last week RCI FirstPathway Partners was honored to host the president of Coryo, one of the largest and most respected Korean immigration firms. Her associates included Mr. Kim and Ms. Oh.
During their trip our guests were able to tour the Aloft Hotel, the Pabst Redevelopment, Miller Park, the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce (MMAC) and City Hall. While visiting City Hall, our guests had the pleasure of meeting with Head of City Development, Patrick G. Walsh and City Commissioner, Rocky Marcoux to discuss Milwaukee's vibrant investment environment. City representatives also voiced their willingness to help facilitate Korean and other foreign investment throughout the area.
We were honored to have such agreeable and accomplished guests. We look forward to a long and prosperous relationship with Mrs. Kim and Coryo.

Milwaukee Universities Launch Joint Energy Research Project Several regional companies and foundations have teamed up with The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM), Marquette University and The Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE), to create a National Energy Technology Research Center. This is the first time the 3 prestigious universities have come together on a major engineering initiative.
The Center hopes to develop high-potential energy research, in an effort to attract large-scale technology funding. To date the center has been able to acquire $200,000 in federal funding and nearly $500,000 from regional industries and foundations, including the Rockwell Automation Charitable Corp., the Wisconsin Energy Foundation, The Bradley Foundation, Eaton Corp., Kohler Co., American Transmission Company, DRS Technologies, and ReGENco.
Projects include: smoothing out wind power; new materials for rechargeable batteries; algae for carbon recycling and fuel; ultra-efficient nanomaterials for cogeneration; a case for sustainable building retrofit; easing integration of renewable energy; and cutting NOx emissions and energy consumption.
"It will not only stimulate the regional economy, but also bring the best research minds in Southeastern Wisconsin to bear in advancing energy solutions that will return benefits for the nation for generations to come." - Michael Lovell, dean of UWM's College of Engineering and Applied Science.
