Five Things You Need To Know About HB 1474
Measure not a "nullification" of federal law, but would protect freedom of choice for Louisianians

New Orleans, La - May 24, 2010 As legislators consider a measure that would protect the rights of Louisianians to make crucial health care decisions, it's important to sort through fact and fiction regarding HB 1474.  This bill, filed by Rep. Kirk Talbot, would help ensure that residents have freedom of choice in selecting their health care coverage without government intrusion and without penalty. The bill has been assigned to the Senate Health & Welfare Committee after passing the House of Representatives by a 59-15 vote.
