Our goal is to actively engage our peers in Run Women Run's mission to inspire, identify, mentor and support qualified pro-choice San Diego women who run for office or seek appointed government positions.

Did you know in 2009 that..
  • Women represent only 17% of those in Congress, and 24% of those in state legislatures.

  • Only 6 of our nations governors are women.

  • Of the 100 largest cities in the United States, there are 11 mayors who are women.

  • Women under 40 are nearly absent from these ranks.
... and our goal is to change all that.

joining Run Women Run is an easy and fun way to make a difference.

Membership dues start at $100 per year
($50 if you are under 35 or over 65).
As a member, you have the opportunity to:


· Learn about the issues impacting San Diego,
  California and the nation, and their implications
  for women, children and families
· Support the election of qualified women candidates
  in San Diego
· Interact with elected officials and prospective
  candidates to evaluate their positions
· Network with progressive pro-choice women and
  men who share similar goals
· Attend (at a discounted rate) Run Women Run 
  programs
· Discover new ways to effect change
