Greetings!
In Run Women Run's first three months, one hundred and twenty women and men joined the effort to inspire, mentor, and support qualified pro-choice San Diego women running for office or seeking appointed government positions. We are excited about the enthusiastic response, and our goal is to more than double the membership in 2009 as we prepare to actively participate in the 2010 elections. If you are not yet a member, please join us and become part of a vibrant, forward-looking organization that will play an important role in determining our region's future. Best wishes for the New Year, Barbara Bry, President Run Women Run

Programs Committee Plans for the New Year
The Programs Committee, chaired by Abby Silverman Weiss is planning four events this year starting with "The Landscape: California Women in Office-The History, The Dirt, and the Practical Realities." This panel discussion, planned for March, will be another opportunity to learn about the challenges facing women considering running for office and in office. As with all Run Women Run events, this will also be an opportunity to meet and network with other progressive women, and have fun. Further details will be announced shortly.
