Message from Senior Campaign Chair, Tom Mendham '63, P'91
Dear Muhlenberg family and friends,
Wherever you are, I hope that spring - or at least the promise of spring - brings you good cheer, and that our latest campaign newsletter brings warm thoughts of Muhlenberg!
I'm pleased to update you on the College's comprehensive campaign, The Talents Entrusted to Our Care, and to thank all who have already made a commitment to support this important initiative. As of December 31, 2008, we've reached $95 million in gifts and commitments toward our $105 million goal. This total is even more impressive when you consider the current economic climate that is stretching so many budgets thin. (For more information, visit the Commitments to Date page on the Talents website.)
As Senior Campaign Chair, I urge you to make your annual gift to The Muhlenberg Fund today, if you haven't done so already. Mail your check to the College or make an online gift now. You may be thinking, "How can Muhlenberg continue to fundraise when the economy is taking such a hit?" The answer is that because of the current conditions, more and more of our students are going to depend on financial aid to fund their education. As someone who received financial aid, I know how important it is to make sure that the best and brightest students aren't left behind simply because of their inability to pay. Your gift will make a difference, believe me. In closing, I send you my warmest wishes and thank you again for all you do for Muhlenberg! Tom Mendham '63, P'91 Senior Campaign Chair |
