Empire Government Strategies, one of the region's leading lobbying firms, announced today it continues its expansion with the addition of seasoned federal agency specialist Joel Freiser.

Freiser brings over thirty years of experience in local economic development and project funding strategies to Empire Government Strategies. Freiser enables municipal governments, independent public authorities, educational institutions, businesses and nonprofit organizations to forge successful partnerships by using innovative strategies to secure financial resources and approvals and that solve local governmental challenges.
Over the past twenty years, Freiser has held executive positions with the
City of Newark, where he was responsible for its economic development program and its New Jersey Urban Enterprise Zone. He also held the positions of Director of Planning and Development for Essex County; Community Planning and Development Representative for the
U.S. Housing and Urban Development Agency; Deputy Director of the Hoboken Model Cities Agency and Director of Economic Development Projects for the
New York City Partnership.
In 2009, Freiser was awarded a Masters of Public Administration by Rutgers University and was elected to Phi Alpha Alpha, the National Honor Society for Public Affairs and Administration. He also completed the Program for Senior Executives in State and Local Government at
Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government.
