A prayer for our Clinic
'May your constant love be with us, Lord, as we put our hope in you.'
Dear friends,
After careful reflection and prayer, we have decided to seek to expand our Clinic at the St George's compound in Baghdad.
The expansion will be a huge undertaking, involving the construction of three new surgeries and an extended waiting room, as well as extra staff to tend to the larger number of patients.

It's an important step in our work and ministry within Baghdad and will have a huge impact upon the local community.
Much institutional health care in Baghdad is of a low standard, blighted by corruption, inefficiency and sectarian division. At St George's, we seek to model best practice in health care delivery. Our patients can see the doctor, a dentist, have lab tests and collect prescription medicine, all in one place on the same day.
Even the local hospital now refers people to us.
Please pray for God's guidance throughout this period of expansion. Pray that, as we listen for Him, we will hear Him, and act upon his Will for our work.
Pray that, with the expansion, the clinic's standards of excellence will only be positively affected.
Pray please that the clinic will continue to be salt and light in the local community. Pray that God's presence will be felt there, His goodness and grace witnessed through good works.
Please do pray for the medical team through the challenges that will come with expansion.
Please pray for the construction team, that they will have a heart for this project, and work together to benefit their whole community.
We thank God for the opportunity to provide vital care for even more people who are most in need. Please pray, and continue to pray, that the funds we need to realize this vision will be forthcoming.
A prayer for 'Sammy'

Sammy, pictured above, was our head of security at St George's Church.
Last November a car bomb detonated close by, and Sammy lost his leg.
Sammy has just had a prosthetic leg fitted. Please pray for his recovery, that he will become used to his new leg and be able to walk again. Please pray for his future plans, as he reflects upon where will be safe for him and his family to live and settle. Please pray for his future work prospects.
Thank you so much for your continued prayers.
If you have a prayer for our work which you'd like to share, I'd love to hear from you.
Every blessing
