1 Chronicles 16 33 Let the trees of the forest sing, let them sing for joy before the LORD, for he comes to judge the earth. 34 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. 35 Cry out, "Save us, God our Savior; gather us and deliver us from the nations, that we may give thanks to your holy name, and glory in your praise." To you - our 24-7 prayer team - we say a huge "thank you",
In a season of unprecedented financial challenges, we can truly say that G-d has heard us. We have just enough to fund St. George's, pay for security and cover our UK costs. He is good!
And we do realise how truly valuable you all are. May I also thank you all personally as I pass on the administration of FRRME prayer coordination to my very capable successor, Jenny Williams. Do share your thoughts and key scriptures with her as she settles into her internship and continues to find her way around the workings of FRRME UK. She is contactable via jenny@FRRME.org.
And amazingly it was a year ago that my predecessor, Rebecca, kicked off this prayer initiative and we're so blessed that almost everything is still partnering with us - and welcome to any newcomers who've signed up for slots recently.
A note from Canon White:
We give thanks to G-d for the service of Steven over the past year and pray that our Lord will continue to be with him and protect him and surround him with his angels.
We give thanks to G-d for the very positive response of the US Government to the religious leaders program that we are establishing to try and reduce the violence against the Christians.
We give thanks that at this time of extreme anxiety here in Iraq the Lord is present and his angels surround us.
Please pray for us as we begin our celebration of Christmas this week when, our youth will celebrate, the Christmas Bazaar will happen and one of the top Islamic sheiks will be in our services which will be televised. Let us also give thanks for the Embassy services as we celebrate the birth of our Lord with those who will not be with their loved ones this Christmas.
Blessings, Andrew White
Do remember we have our Christmas gifts available from the FRRME shop for which the proceeds will go to St. George's Church.
I hope you all have a very blessed and joyous Christmas and an adventurous 2011.
Be blessed, and take risks,
