1 Thessalonians 5Rejoice always; pray without ceasing. To our amazing prayer supporters,
Firstly we would like to thank you for your continued prayer covering through this difficult time. The problems faced at FRRME HQ and on the streets of Baghdad are quite different indeed - but we believe the Lord is our source for both security and provision.
Psalm 50:10Every animal in the forest belongs to me, and so do the cattle on a thousand hills. In the month of December we face a time of transition. This will is my penultimate prayer bulletin as I come to the end of my one year internship. They will of course continue via another member of our capable team.
Baghdad continues to be a fearful place for Christians and we do appreciate that you continue to keep them in your hearts. The following prayer requests from Andrew still stand:
Prayer requests from Andrew:1. Finances: Canon White will return to Baghdad on December 10th. If we are to fulfil all of financial obligations to the church and clinic then we are short of $37,000. This is quite serious and puts us under a lot of pressure. We have to trust that the Lord will provide.
2. Security: There are threats from Al Qaida to attack and kill more Christians - myself in particular. So please pray for our protection.
3. For the immense fear of the Christians. All are so afraid; they need a sense of Divine protection, their fear removed and for the Aagels of our Lord to protect them.
It still may seem far-fetched to wish the Iraqi church a "merry Christmas" but we must pray on their behalf for the joy of the Lord.
