Dear Friends,

So we have come to the end of the 16 day visit of the Iraqi young people to the UK. It has been an active, action packed few days. The young people have seen much in the South of England, spoken at many meetings and the girls have sung beautifully at each church event.
When asked what was the best thing they have done the answer is simple; "EVERYTHING". They all agree that the event that touched them most deeply was the conference with Eric Delve at Detling, but they also enjoyed the other excellent meetings, events and services that they attended. The really important thing was that the young people were made to feel very much part of the global family of Christian believers. They also did a large number of fun things from going to Chessington World of Adventures, paint balling, touring London in an amphibious vehicle and Zorbing (if you don't know what that is, Google it!). They also greatly enjoyed being welcomed into people's homes and visiting the Mayor for tea. We return to Iraq tomorrow and they say they have been to Heaven now they return to Hell. Please pray for them. I did a major interview yesterday with Becky Anderson on CNN. The programme will go out on Tuesday 31st August, which is the final day of the US military draw down from Iraq. It will also show a section of the young people's visit from Iraq to the UK. The blog is already up with an article and comments you can make.
