Dear Friends,
|
Greetings and blessings from the UK Whilst it is good to be here in the UK, I so
miss Baghdad. Caroline and the children are currently on their way back today
from Spain. Jacob has been singing
with the school choir in Barcelona Cathedral. I think they have had a very good
time and I'm looking forward to seeing them later today.
St. George's Yesterday was both good and bad in Baghdad.
Church was very good but there was a spate of bombings and many were killed.
Mercifully there is no record of anybody from the church being hurt as the
bombs were not in our area. The services were good and I was able to talk with
them over the phone. One particular joy was Ian Hearn being there with the
Fijian guards who sang for the church. Their voices are simply amazing.
West Wickham, Walberton and Smith Wigglesworth My own Sunday was simply outstanding. I was
preaching in the morning in West Wickham - a very good and lively Anglican
Church. I told people that just that week I had been with Smith Wigglesworth's
98 year old granddaughter and staying with his great grandson Henry Fardell,
with whom I am writing my next book. They gave me, on long-term loan, his
anointing bottle with his name embedded and even some oil left in it. So many
people came up for prayer that queue was huge and it took me over two hours to
pray for them all and to anoint them and I was very quick with each person.
In the evening I was preaching at St. Mary's
Church, Walberton, a very old church in West Sussex. Two Churches had come
together and this service was also great and full of the Glory of the living
G-d.
I have several speaking engagements this week
which are listed in the right hand column.
With every
blessing,
Andrew
