Dear Friends,

Well today we have a different problem not caused by bombs.
This morning (Friday) we were having a wonderful rehearsal for the ordination of Faiz next Sunday, when we had a huge power surge, which blew out our power and destroyed a lot of our electrical equipment including our sound system and the electric piano.
So we have a bit of a problem and hope we can get things working again or replaced by Sunday.
Despite all of this everything else is looking really good. The ordination service will be great. Please pray for Faiz as he goes on retreat before the Bishop and his delegation arrives.
Life here in Iraq continues to be as busy as ever with the religious sectarian work, anti corruption work and all our church activities.
The reading from the Gospel this week is Luke Ch.10, the sending out of the 70. They saw G-d working in a remarkable way healing the sick and bringing His Peace. That is indeed the work I am doing. It is the work that Faiz is called to and it is the work we are struggling to achieve; bringing peace and healing to this troubled land.
Blessings from Baghdad Andrew
