Featured on Tucson Vision Series

Many non-profit organizations and groups in Tucson use our Tucson Vision service to create a six-part TV series about their organization's services.  Habitat for Humanity Tucson and the Mini-Time Machine Museum of Miniatures are this season's featured organizations.  Nearly 200,000 homes in Tucson and Pima County receive our channels on Cox and Comcast so non-profits have a great opportunity to effectively use the TucsonVision six-part series to inform the community about their organization's depth of services.

Habitat on Tucson Vision

Executive Director Michael McDonald hosts the Habitat for Humanity Tucson series. The current episode focuses on the Habistore which is changing the world one couch at a time! By selling surplus new and used building and home improvement materials, appliances and furniture to the public the HabiStore is diverting more than 150 tons of material from the landfill each year.
See how you can help by donating/recycling your stuff.

Mini Museum on Tucson Vision

The
Mini-Time Machine Museum of Miniatures is a new organization to Tucson.  They are using the Tucson Vision service to build momentum in the community for their forthcoming grand opening in October. Every piece in the museum's collection tells a story not only about the pieces themselves and the process by which they were built, but also the culture and era they reflect. Executive Director Nina Daldrup interviews the founder and curator of the museum Pat Arnell in this week's episode.

Annual Reflection

See the Jewish High Holiday Services and the LDS Conference on TV!

Access Tucson is proud to bring you these two very different slices of the Tucson spiritual community to the whole of the Tucson community. The cablecast of both of these events is especially appreciated by the homebound.

The cablecast of the Jewish High Holiday Services includes both the Rosh Hasanah and Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) services from Tucson's Temple Emanu-el. The High Holidays is a time primarily for penitence and self-reflection, but also for recharging spiritual batteries.

Update on Classes

In addition to the complete curriculum for media production and web distribution, Access Tucson has added training for the Trinity digital effects system for Studio A and has updated the Blogging class.

The Trinity combines Air Command, a virtual switcher PersonalFX, a 3D effects creation program and TitleWave, a character generator. Trinity can perform true color correction, simultaneous 2D and 3D digital video effects, complex warp geometry effects, and chrominance, luminance, and linear keying. This allows for some amazing effects and handy still stores in Studio A. Studio Production certification is a prerequisite for this class.

The Blogging class has been updated to include social networking. Learn the basics of blogging and the value of interconnectivity through Facebook and MySpace. There are no prerequisites for the Blogging class.

Both classes are $30 each for a single 4 hour class.

See our class schedule for dates and times.  Call our front desk at 624-9833 to register.
