STAR REPORT FSCS WEEKLY NEWSLETTER 11/25/09 - VOL.7 ISSUE 11 |
No School November 26th & 27th
There is no school on November 26th & 27th in observance of Thanksgiving. Classes will resume on Monday, November 30th. |
All of us at Faithful Shepherd would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy and blessed Thanksgiving! For those in our community who may be traveling, we wish you a safe journey.
During this past year, it has been easy for all of us to feel uneasy and / or unhappy with our personal situations. The economic downturn has affected everyone in some form or another. I don't know of anyone who has not had to sacrifice in some way; or hasn't lost their job or has a friend or relative who has lost theirs. It has been a difficult time, not just in our community, but throughout the country.
To paraphrase Victor Frankl, a survivor of the Nazi concentration camps, " The one freedom that can never be taken away from anyone is their attitude towards a situation". At this time of year, and in these times, perhaps we should take a few moments to thank God for our blessings, look for the good in our lives, keep a positive attitude towards our future, and remember that God cares for us.
Happy Thanksgiving to all. |

Many thanks to the Faithful Shepherd Community for the good wishes, cards and emails in honor of Principal Appreciation Day. We feel blessed to be a part of such a wonderful supportive community. |

Reminder From The Office
Please ensure you send in a note to the school office when picking up your child early, or if there is a change in transportation/after school plans. Additionally, if your child will be riding the bus home with someone, the note should come to the office vs. the bus driver. The office will send a Transportation Change to the student who should then give it to the bus driver. Thank you for your assistance.
Don't forget as the calendar turns to winter to make sure that your child is dressed with proper outdoor clothing. All children go outside unless the windchill or temperature is below zero. Students are not kept inside for insufficient winter clothing. |
