DuPont Named Among Best Places to Work by The Scientist Magazine
DuPont has been named among the best places to work in the biotechnology industry by The Scientist magazine.
Wilmington, DE (Vocus) May 29, 2009 -- DuPont has been named among the best places to work in the biotechnology industry by The Scientist magazine.
DuPont and its Pioneer Hi-Bred business were named in the top four by readers of The Scientist magazine in its 7th annual Best Places to Work in Industry survey. Pioneer was named No. 1 for the second straight year and DuPont No. 4 among large biotechnology employers.
"Our talented, dedicated people make DuPont a great place to work," said Uma Chowdhry, DuPont senior vice president - chief science and technology officer. "We pride ourselves on our philosophy of rewarding individual excellence and our tradition of high standards and innovative, science-based products."
The survey was completed by nearly 3,000 readers of The Scientist magazine representing 238 biotechnology businesses worldwide. Respondents were asked to assess their working environment according to 45 criteria in eight different categories, including job satisfaction, benefits, training and integrity.
The Best Places to Work in Industry survey rankings and detailed survey results for the top large and small institutions will be available in The Scientist's June issue, available in print and online June 1.
