I heard a wonderful quote over the weekend at my daughter's speech day and it can be attributed back to the great Jesse Owens:
" Victory is what happens when dreams, dedication and discipline meet".
In these challenging times what are we all doing to raise our own games and pursue our own victories?
Take it from Jim Rohn: "Everyday people are improving their lives and businesses. Whether you do or not doesn't matter to those who do. They are going to do it, regardless. It is simply a matter of a decision being made. Let that person be you!"
COMMIT TO:
1. Self improvement. Are you going to get stronger, or stay the same? No matter what you have achieved, you are where you are right now. What you have achieved in the past is great so far, but it doesn't make a difference for the future. The decision about what you will become is made every day. Each day someone is making the decision to better him or herself. Let that person be you!
2. Make a plan. Once you have decided to become better, you need to have a plan. Avoid over-complicating the plan; make it systematic and progressive. Someone is going to develop a plan that will take them into the future of their dreams. Let it be you!
3. TAKE ACTION! All of the great ideas, without action, become stale and useless. The key to turning dreams into reality is action. People who have great ideas are a penny a dozen. People who act on their dreams and ideas are the select few, but they are the ones who gain the health, wealth and wisdom that is available. Someone will act today. Let it be you!
Stop looking at others who live the good life, wishing that you were, too; instead, begin to commit to your improvement, develop a plan and act on it.

ps Having spent this afternoon watching an epic Men's Final at Wimbledon I was reminded of the great Rudyard Kipling quote which is etched onto the ceiling as the players are about to come out onto centre court:
If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same;
Wonderful to see two wonderful athletes with the humility to embody the quote from the great Poem "If"
