3. Cut the fat, if you grew too fat and lost track of some of your spending, get to it, time for an exercise program on your business ...
4. Advertise MORE - it's far cheaper now and you can get a lot more exposure for your money ... no more rip off prices for advertising, we now have the upper hand as customers of the media ...
5. Retain your best people - losing great people is the worst thing you could do as when the economy gets better you want to have good trained people on your team ...
6. Recruit great people - go find your competitors best people, best sales people, and recruit them in this time of uncertainty. If they are that good they will bring enough business with them to cover their costs until the economy turns ...
7. Add or remove product and service lines - get rid of some of the products or services that are no longer selling and add lines that will sell during this economy ...
8. Start learning and training - down time is a great time for training and learning more so you are ready for economic SPRING ...
9. Be Flexible - flexibility is key in a moving economy, always doing what you have always done is a killer ...
10. Add Value - and stop discounting, rather than discount cash, give away an item of the same value that actually cost you less than the cash.
