 K-8 Corner December has snuck up on us and the end of the calendar year is fast approaching. The wintery winds have blown in a bluster of wonderful and exciting activities for all the K-8 students. We are excited to be "very crafty" this month with fun decor to celebrate the month of December. To celebrate the winter season, each class will be having a party on the last week before winter break so be on the lookout for information from your teacher. See you in the classroom! Boxtops for Education Needed
Please turn in your Boxtops to the front office. It's an easy way to help earn extra money for the school.
Student Pick-Up Please pick your students up in our Main Office/Classroom Drop-Off. Meeting your student at the Front of the Complex creates safety and traffic issues. Thank you for your cooperation.
Keep PVCS Clean and Green We want to keep litter out of our parking lot and YOU can help by using the receptacles for recycling and trash. Also, remember that PVCS is a
NO SMOKING area. Thanks for helping us keep our school fresh and clean!
Eliminate E-Waste
Join our effort to recycle e-waste responsibly. Drop off your recyclable e-waste at your next meeting. PVCS will make up to five cents a pound while we help clean up the planet! Please remember we also accept ink and toner cartridges. |

Winter Wonderland of Gingerbread Contest 2011

Please join us for our 1st annual
Gingerbread House Competition
Friday, December 9th
2:00pm - 4:00pm
Check-in at 1:30pm
Students participating in this event will make a Gingerbread House at home and
bring it to school to be judged.
Two categories to participate in:
The Peppermint Category
Gingerbread Category
In addition to the competition we will have
make it and take it crafts,
hot cocoa, and cookies to decorate.
Vote for your favorite
Peppermint Gingerbread House.
Prizes will be awarded.
Every student is able to bring their own Gingerbread House.

Middle School Science Fair
December 15th
2-4 p.m.
Come see our future scientist's projects...everyone is welcome to come to our annual Science Fair.
All participating middle school students (Grades 6-8) are asked to attend and share their projects with our guest judges.
STAR PARTY Coming to PVCS
Pacific View Charter School would like to invite you to our Family Night Under The Stars!
The San Diego Astronomy Association has graciously volunteered to bring a "Star Party" to PVCS on
Friday, January 20 at 5:30pm.

Salvation Army Food Drive
November 28-December 9
This holiday season The Salvation Army
will be assisting over 500 families in our area.
Please consider helping your community
through the work of The Salvation Army.
You can drop off your food items in your teacher's office. Suggested food items to donate:
Canned Vegetables, Macaroni & Cheese,
Canned Meats, Instant Potatoes, Cranberry Sauce,
Peanut Butter, Soups, Stuffing, or Canned Fruit

Participate in Field Trips and Earn Extra Credit!
Did you know that you can earn EXTRA CREDIT POINTS for attending a field trip? This month you can visit Sea World or the Natural History Museum. Check with your Supervisory Teacher for more information.

SeaWorld Fieldtrip

MEET @ EDUCATION GATE
We will enter as a group.
Come enjoy a day at SeaWorld during
"Homeschool Day".
Please note that the number of children must be equal to or greater than the number of adults.
Once we get inside, you are on your own
to enjoy your day.

Fresh & Easy Fundraiser

Please continue to support the Fresh & Easy Receipts Fundraiser by turning in your receipts to your Supervisory Teacher or drop them off at the Front Office.
Every $20 in receipts earns PVCS a $1.00 donation.
Receipts can be collected from
California, Nevada, and Arizona.
