See's Candy Fundraiser Want to give a sweet treat to your favorite person? PVCS is sponsoring a See's Candy fundraiser from November 7 - December 2. Candy will arrive in December in time for gift-giving. Please see your Supervisory Teacher to place an order. Or pick up an order form and collect orders from friends and family members. 
Boxtops for Education Needed
Please turn in your Boxtops to the front office. It's an easy way to help earn extra money for the school.
K-8 Corner
November is here!
We have many fun and exciting activities planned for the
K-8 classrooms.
We will be learning about the election process, recognizing the men and women who have fought for our freedom, and getting crafty with harvest art projects. Finally, before the Thanksgiving Break (November 21st -25th) all classes will be having a Thanksgiving "Feast".

Student Pick-Up
Please pick your students up in our Main Office/Classroom Drop-Off. Meeting your student at the Front of the Complex creates safety and traffic issues. Thank you for your cooperation.
Keep PVCS Clean and Green We want to keep litter out of our parking lot and YOU can help by using the receptacles for recycling and trash. Also, remember that PVCS is a
NO SMOKING area. Thanks for helping us keep our school fresh and clean!
Reminders: Please remember to use the front sidewalk when walking to and from the front office, the computer lab, the classroom, and your teacher's office. Do not use the back alley!

Eliminate E-Waste
In conjunction with America Recycles Day,
Pacific View Charter School is supporting the
"Million Pound Challenge" an effort to reduce e-waste and prevent it from going into our local landfills.
Join our effort to recycle e-waste responsibly.
Drop off your recyclable e-waste at your next meeting. PVCS will make up to five cents a pound while we help clean up the planet!
Please remember we also accept ink and toner cartridges.
Salvation Army Food Drive
November 28-December 9
This holiday season The Salvation Army
will be assisting over 500 families in our area.
Please consider helping your community
through the work of The Salvation Army.
You can drop off your food items in your teacher's office. Suggested food items to donate:
Canned Vegetables, Macaroni & Cheese, Canned Meats, Instant Potatoes, Cranberry Sauce, Peanut Butter, Soups, Stuffing, Canned Fruit, etc.

Participate in Field Trips and Earn Extra Credit!
Did you know that you can earn EXTRA CREDIT POINTS for attending a field trip? This month you can participate in the Paint-a-Plate Workshop or visit Balboa Park. Check with your Supervisory Teacher for more information.

for this creative workshop.
Students will be able to create their very own
paint-a-plate creation, sponsored by Clay n' Latte,
as a memento or holiday gift.

during the week of November 14th - 18th.

Balboa Park Field Trip
Tuesday, November 15th, 9:30 am-4 pm - FREE

Come enjoy a fun-filled day at Balboa Park,
which includes entrance into the following museums: San Diego Art Institute, Mingei International Museum, San Diego Museum of Art, San Diego Museum of Man, Japanese Friendship Garden and
The Timken Museum of Art.
Admission is free for San Diego County Residents
be sure to bring ID.
Please arrive promptly at 9:30 a.m. we will gather at the Visitor's Center.

Fresh & Easy Fundraiser
From now to Dec. 31, 2011 bring in your
Fresh & Easy receipts and help raise money
for Pacific View Charter School!
For every $20.00 receipt, PVCS earns a $1.00 donation. Receipts can be collected from California, Nevada, and Arizona.
Turn in your receipts to your Supervisory Teacher or drop them off at the front office. Thank you for your participation in this new fundraiser!!
