TWO YOUNG PIONEERS AT WORK IN MEXICO

Successes

In 2008 two Delphi Oregon Graduates - Ari and Dan Agami - started an Applied Scholastics Licensed group called Entiende Mas, Logra Mas (EMLM), meaning "Understand More, Achieve More".

In July of 2008, EMLM and Sr. VP Expansion of Applied Scholastics Int. met with the Minister of Education of the state of Puebla. Puebla is the 4th largest state in Mexico.

After being shown the results of Study Technology, the Minister was on board and wanting to know how to implement the technology in his state. He instantly called a meeting with 6 senior ministry executives and told them he wanted the project implemented in the area of Tepiti (the area with the most drop outs) in the Junior High (as the average student drops out after the 7th grade.) Additionally this area has the worst results in the national standardized test - ENLACE.

HOW TO INCREASE ENROLLMENT

school children

We asked some of our experts about how to increase enrollment and here are their successful actions:

1. Ensure that you have stellar standard delivery of Study Technology.  This will get you wins and successes and you can use these to promote. Also, stellar delivery will lead to wonderful word of mouth in your area.

2. Increase the number of people who actually come into your school or center.  Some ideas for this are seminars, workshops and open houses.

3. Walk around your center or school and see if it invites people in.  Add signs or banners to attract the attention of people walking or driving by.

4. Promote-promote-promote!  No matter how you do it - postcards, email, ads, or fliers - promote to everyone you meet.  Get your staff to do the same.  Get business cards for your staff to give out wherever they go.  If you have #1 above in, you will have lots to tell people.

5. Sell-sell-sell!  If you aren't trained in how to sell - get trained!  There is a technology of how to sell and it's something you need to know.

"I can't even describe how great this experience has been for me.  I have gained so much - way more than I expected to.  I have been a  teacher for over ten years, and I have never felt more certain or confident of my skills than I do at this moment.  This course has given me all the tools, skills and certainty I need to change things for the better for my students, teachers and parents."  M.L., Dean

"This course was life-changing!!!  I came here to Applied Scholastics with the idea that I would just get the training for permanent certification because this would be a good place.  Boy, did I get many times over what I expected.  I have a certainty on the Study Technology that I didn't have before - that is unshakable!  I can't begin to write all the wins I've had!" Words of Wisdom

"The secret lies entirely in the fact that education is as effective as it is pleasant, unhurried, casual, and is as ineffective as it is stressed to be important."
