Ghouls, Goblins and Witches - oh my!
Preschool

October is always an exciting time for our little pre-schoolers.  We learned to build with blocks and we built a scarecrow - but not too scary! This month we are making Thanksgiving decorations that you can use over the holidays.

Holiday Activities

Beginner 1 students made some wonderful Halloween art and learned how to make melted crayon collages.  They also worked on their Delphi Academy of FloridaThanksgiving poem.  They are also making a turkey which you will see shortly.

Beginner 2 class learned about Russia and Native Americans this past month.  They also learned about the meaning of the upcoming holidays and created holiday art!

Form 1 created Halloween art and did a cooking project.  They continued their geography project by drawing maps of places around the school.  You'll be excited to know that Form 1 is beginning to work on the concept of exchange especially as it relates to the family.

Form 2 students created a safety poster. They also learned about water treatment plants.  Form 2 parents will be pleased to note that we are working on the precept from The Way To Happiness - Be Industrious.  The plan is that they will be even more industrious in the classroom and at home.  We studied about pilgrims and we are working on our poem for the Poetry Event on November 24th.

Halloween Fun
Elementary School

Form 3 spent a lot of time with Halloween fun - they decorated the classroom and wrote stories and poems with a Halloween theme.  The students studied Florida history and solid waste management.  They also continued their project on The Way to Happiness precept - Set A Good Example.  Please let us know if you observe your children setting a good example at home.

Moms of Form 4 students will be pleased to know that the kids worked on their worm farm!  We have decided that they will not bring the results of this project home with them!  Also in anticipation of the zombies that rise during Halloween, they studied decomposition.  Moms will also be pleased to know that the kids will be growing radishes using the composition from the worm farm.  Yum!
