Dear Friends of Habitat,

Trying to tell you about all the good things happening at HFHSJC in a few short sentences can be more challenging than you might think. I'm searching for the right words to convey the sense of excitement and accomplishment felt on our Women Build site. I wish Amanda, our Volunteer Coordinator, could introduce you to the dozens of volunteers from the Healy Group; 1st Source Bank; Best Buy; RSM McGladrey; Kruggel, Lawton & Company; and Bethel College who accomplished so much in so little time the first week of World Build. I wish you could have joined me last Saturday at the warehouse as Ron, Todd, Babette, and Pancho showed more than 30 Notre Dame students how to build walls. I wish you could have seen our dedicated staff in action at the Knollwood Charity Golf Classic where more than $3,000 was raised for Habitat. And I wish you could sit in on our board meetings to hear about the exciting plans for a new ReStore that will help us fund even more affordable houses. It truly is a privilege to be part of such a wonderful organization working with such dedicated people. Thank you again for your support.

Jim

Wood was recognized for developing innovative programs at 1st Source Bank, including the Habitat for Humanity Mortgage Purchase Program, which has brought additional funds to local affiliates like ours so we can more quickly build new affordable homes. Dave is a long-time supporter of Habitat and a recent volunteer for World Build. Congratulations, Dave, and thank you for your support.
