Cosmic Weather Report:
Putney, Vermont: July, 2011
The most prominent feature in July's cosmic weather is a grand square that prevails over most of the month, and another that ends it. A grand square occurs when four planets are approximately 90 degrees from each other, making a giant box or X that marks the spot. The nature of this stellar box is to confine, pressurize or otherwise contain energies until they build sufficient underground force to burst containment. And that is the feeling I get speaking to clients around the world: we're on the verge of breaking into some new consciousness, some new collective way to be, but in order to get there some massive restriction seems to be closing in on us.
The signs mostly involved with July's X-Factor are the four cardinal signs: Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn. Cardinal signs begin the seasons, and are the forces that initiate new projects and relationships, new energies, new beginnings. When the pressure of the grand squares builds this summer it can be seen as contractions necessary to birth something new through the cosmic cervix. A first childbirth can't occur naturally without pressure that needs to be harnessed to combine with the body's instinctual ability to do something it's never done before. Similarly, our species is being driven into a corner in order to claim a cosmic birth moment we've never claimed before: Giving birth to the rightful future of the species.
What is the rightful future of the species?
It's the one where each child has the right to follow their dream and live a life of love and peace. It's the one where none of us have to stuff our truth to fit into a broken system. It's the one where the shortsighted imbeciles running our country awaken to their folly or get out of the way to let something real happen.
I watched The Tillman Story a couple nights ago, about Patrick Tillman who gave up a million-dollar NFL contract to fight in Iraq, and got killed by his own men. The White House chose to cover up that little fact and fabricate a false story that little by little became clear to Patrick's mother and father, who persisted all the way to the halls of Congress. It was sickening to watch the cowardice of general after general, commander after commander, who lied in Congressional hearings to cover their own ass. Our military is being led by cowards. If you saw the film Inside Job, narrated by Matt Damon, you know the story of how the financial crisis of recent years was orchestrated by criminals who stole from the poor and gave to the rich. In return for their crimes, Obama appointed them to the highest positions in government. If you listen to Democracy Now, you'll learn how Obama's administration is even worse than Bush's at punishing high-level insiders who dare to blow the whistle on government wrongdoing. Despite the hope that those of us felt when we voted for our country's first black president, change is not going to come from the top down.
From the only remaining source of true passion and inspiration: The people. A transformational view of history reveals that change occurs when underground forces sleeping in the depths of the people builds to critical mass and erupts in a groundswell of evolution that can no longer be diverted by broken promises and addled leaders.
My main question is: How much longer are we going to put up with this bullshit? Like in the 1960s and early 70s, I'm feeling a worldwide need for change that's building to a breaking point. The pressure of this month's X marks the spot where you're being asked to hold your ground, stand fast against all the reasons why greater truth can't happen, and claim your piece of the future. The bright one. The real one. The one we can't afford to ignore.
Who are you really? What are you here to do?
How much longer are you going to wait?
