Northwest Teacher Training
Education
for Life Teacher Training in the northwest attracted a total of
twenty-three students in 2008-09 for at least one of the nine-hour
week-end seminars: seven from Portland; ten from Seattle, three from
northern California; and two from India who were in the states and who
will be teaching in the new Education for Life pre-school in Gurugaon,
India. Thirteen people finished all ninety hours of training: six from
Seattle and seven in Portland.

Education for Life Training Videos
In addition to the training that this year's participants in the teacher training received, we now have available a six DVD series of Education for Life Training classes, filmed and edited by volunteer Bob Ausbeck. The teachers include Susan Usha Dermond, Toby Narani Morehouse, Karen Busch, and Sandi Goodwin. This set will be available for purchase and will be an integral part of the curriculum for students in Slovenia, India, Hawaii, England, and Italy who have requested a distance learning course. The topics covered in the series include: Essence of Education for Life/Brief History Motivating Children: Specific Gravity The Whole Child: Tools and Stages of Maturity Curriculum in Education for Life Energy Flow: Harmonizing Home and Classroom Lesson Planning, the Education for Life Way/ Teacher Magnetism

Move, Relax, Learn!
Now available: DVD of Portland's teachers leading their students in 12 Activities that awaken enthusiasm and/or focus attention. Appropriate for children from four to eleven, these games and movements with affirmations will uplift the energy and can be used by scout leaders, nature educators, Sunday School teachers, as well as public and private school teachers.
